FEMALE VOICE: We have the Apio laser and that is for large pores, and to even out skin tone, brown spots, rosacea. It’s more for skin conditions. And then we have other lasers that help, it’s more of a preventive or something to do instead of surgery, it’s for skin tightening, just to keep things looking better over time. DR. SUZANNE YEE: - - is not a onetime treatment. You do have to have a series of treatments and we recommend 5-6 treatments in a series, every 3-4 weeks. After that, you do maintenance treatments every 3-6 months to keep up that affect. It is not a permanent procedure, but it is a maintenance procedure. Patients that have had that ocular treatments are very happy. Rosacea patients love it because it helps decrease the redness. They’re able to go without as much makeup and they have less flushing. Patients that worry about their pore size, it decreases their pore size. It makes their skin look a little bit more like porcelain, so that they don’t have large pores that shine through. It doesn’t get rid of the pores, but it minimizes them. And that makes them very happy.
