As many of you know, today is National Wear Red Day to support the fight against heart disease in women.  I am very passionate about spreading awareness of heart disease in women, because it is the #1 killer of women in America.   The Go Red For Women Organization was created in response to shocking statistics of  death cause in American women, "In 2004, the American Heart Association (AHA) faced a challenge. Cardiovascular disease claimed the lives of nearly 500,000 American women each year, yet women were not paying attention. In fact, many even dismissed it as an “older man’s disease.” To dispel the myths and raise awareness of heart disease as the number one killer of women, the American Heart Association created Go Red For Women – a passionate, emotional, social initiative designed to empower women to take charge of their heart health." Go Red For Women.  By wearing red today, you will support the mission to help eliminate heart disease in women!  Red dress, Red lipstick, Red nail polish...Let's see RED!
