News Reports on Botox Concerns

By Dr. Suzanne Yee on July 21, 2009

Hello everybody! Lately there have been news reports concerning the safety of Botox Cosmetic.  These reports are mostly linked to situations where the patient was currently ill or injected with very large amounts of Botox.  Cosmetic usage of Botox only requires a low dosage and has had a good report of being safe for over 25 years. The most important thing to remember if you decide to get Botox is that your physician is a specialist in injectables.  These specialist include Facial and Cosmetic Surgeons, Dermatologists, and ENT surgeons. It is also important to inform your physician of current prescriptions and over the counter medications.  Botox Cosmetic.com advises not to get Botox if you are pregnant or might become pregnant, allergic to any ingredients in Botox, or have an infection where the Botox will be injected.  If you would like to know more about Botox Cosmetic or any other cosmetic procedure or surgery come and visit me at Dr. Suzanne Yee-Cosmetic and Laser Surgery Center and MedSpa.
