Thermage For Body: My Experience By Crystal Davidson on March 08, 2011

Hello Everyone!

Summer is around the corner and if you're anything like me, this particular season is bitter-sweet... There's nothing like Summer in the South, but with a Southern Summer comes the four S's; Sun dresses, Shorts, Swimsuits, and Skin.  Most everyone wants a quick fix for sagging skin & cellulite by the time Spring rolls around, and I admit I'm one of them.

I’m going to tell you ALL about my quick fix experience with Thermage from beginning to end, and keep you updated on my progress along the way…………

Thermage is a non-invasive, office procedure used to treat loose or sagging skin using Radio Frequency (RF) pulses.  The RF pulses heat the deep layers of skin to stimulate and boost collagen production, producing almost immediate results with maximum results in 6 months.  Thermage has been proven to tighten and shape skin on arms, stomach, upper & lower thighs, front & back of thighs, buttocks, as well as face & neck.  My problem areas are my upper thighs and buttocks.Since I was young girl, I’ve always had cellulite on the back of thighs & have tried just about every potion claiming to “reduce the appearance of cellulite".  After years of let downs, I decided it was time to give up.  That is, until Dr. Yee said, "Why don't you do Thermage?!?"  Yes, please!

Alicia did my treatment on Friday, March 4th, areas treated; upper thighs (back), buttocks, and stomach.  She began the process by tracing a grid on the areas to be treated, so the "tip" of the hand piece doesn't overlap sections.    She then applied coupling fluid to the area to act as a barrier between the "tip" and my skin.

Now to the "tip"...  The "Tip" is a detachable part of the hand- piece, which must be pre-ordered prior to the treatment.    The tip produces radio frequency (RF) pulses and cooling agents, which heat deep layers of skin.  The RF heat stimulates collagen in 2 ways; 1. boosts existing collagen & 2. forms new collagen.  Alicia placed the tip in the corner square of the grid and worked her way to the opposite corner and repeated on the other leg, then she treated my lower abdomen.  The entire treatment took roughly 2 hours, and when it was over I could already see a difference!
