PicoSure Tattoo Removal

By Dr. Suzanne Yee on April 10, 2017

PicoSure Laser Tattoo Removal

The history of tattoos is long and VERY interesting.  Direct evidence of tattooing on human skin extends all the way back to the 4th millennium BC.  The oldest instance of tattooed skin appears on “Otzi the Iceman” which dates all the way back between 3370 and 3100 BC.

Unfortunately for Otzi, there was no way to remove those tattoos once administered.  But luckily for us, we now have the technology to safely and effectively remove unwanted tattoos.

Dr. Suzanne Yee is proud to offer the PicoSure Tattoo Removal Laser.  The PicoSure laser is a major advancement in the technology that allows us to remove tattoos from the skin.  As a FDA approved method for removing tattoos you can be assured that it is safe and reliable.  The laser light that is used emits carefully controlled pulses of light that gradually breaks up ink pigments in the skin; ultimately causing the tattoo to fade.

It’s important to understand that every patient is different.  Since the color, size and age of the tattoo can all effect how many treatments it will take, it’s important to schedule a consultation with Dr. Yee and her staff to understand and have appropriate expectations for your tattoo removal.  Every consultation is custom and will allow you to get a specific quote.

In most cases, tattoo removal is NOT covered by medical insurance.  Most often times this procedure is considered cosmetic.  If the procedure is considered to by necessary for medical reasons, then it may fall under the heading of your insurance coverage.

Contact us today to to learn more and see if you're a candidate for PicoSure tattoo removal!
