Achieve a Trim, Toned Midsection with Lipoabdominoplasty

Pregnancy, age, genetics, and significant weight loss can all lead to a sagging midsection that lacks definition. Liposuction and abdominoplasty are two popular cosmetic surgery procedures that achieve different results contributing to a trim, toned abdomen. Dr. Suzanne Yee is excited to offer lipoabdominoplasty at our Little Rock practice, a new approach to abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) that combines these two treatments for more comprehensive results. Lipoabdominoplasty can help patients achieve a trim, toned abdomen.

Abdominoplasty and Liposuction

Liposuction can be performed in many areas of the body, and is commonly used to eliminate fat deposits in the midsection that do not respond to dieting or exercise. During the liposuction procedure, small incisions are made in the skin. A special tool called a cannula is inserted through the incisions and used to gently loosen fat cells and suction them out. During a tummy tuck, Dr. Yee can remove excess tissue and tighten the abdominal muscles and remaining skin to create a more toned midsection.

Lipoabdominoplasty: Combined Procedures for Better Results

When performed independently, liposuction and tummy tuck procedures do have some limitations. A patient who is concerned with sagging skin after substantial weight loss, for example, may be able to achieve taught skin through a tummy tuck, but could still have stubborn fat deposits that are resistant to exercise and dieting. Meanwhile, a mother may wish to eliminate stubborn belly fat, but may still be left with sagging skin following liposuction. Lipoabdominoplasty, on the other hand, can help a patient to achieve a leaner midsection through liposuction, and achieve more flattering skin contours through an abdominoplasty performed at the same time.

Dr. Yee's focus is to provide individualized plastic surgery procedures that help our patients look and feel their very best. Lipoabdominoplasty can help you experience the benefits of two popular plastic surgery procedures at once for an incredible boost in your appearance and your self-esteem.

Advanced Surgical Care

Many of us work out regularly, watch what we eat, and even try fad diets, but ultimately fail to achieve the results we are working so hard to achieve. The truth is that genetics are largely determinant of your proportion and how fat deposits itself throughout the body. Additionally, life changes like pregnancy - which can lead to separated abdominal muscles - can have long-lasting and frustrating effects. For some patients, surgery is the most effective way to achieve a more proportionate, toned midsection free of lumps and bumps.

As a fellow in the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Yee uses advanced surgical techniques that combine the best of art and science. She will work closely with you to determine the most appropriate treatment plan, while making sure you are educated and informed in every decision regarding your care.
