The Coolsculpting CooMini applicator uses the Cryolipolysis technology to freeze fat cells in the submental area, or under the chin. After being assessed as a proper candidate, you will be scheduled for your 1 hour procedure. During the procedure, you will sit with the applicator applied underneath you chin, held in place with a support device. The applicator uses suction to target and freeze the fat cells. After the freezing, the area will become numb, so there is little to no discomfort during the procedure. After the procedure is over, the frozen area is massaged to trigger the elimination process. The crystallized fat cells gradually die off, then are naturally eliminated from your body. In the following months, the fat layer is reduced.
After the treatment, you may experience some numbness, and tenderness to the touch. These sensations should dissipate over the next couple of days. Some patients require more than one treatment due to the severity of the excess fat, this will be determined during your consultation. Patients are able to resume normal activity immediately following the procedure!
